The River Doesn't Know Where It's Going. It Only Knows It's the River.
A gentle reminder for the mother trying to control every bend of the journey — that peace doesn't come from forcing outcomes, but from trusting the flow.

Have you ever stood beside a river and simply watched it flow?
It doesn't stop to question every turn.
It doesn't resist the rocks in its path.
It doesn't panic because it can't see the ocean.
It simply keeps flowing.
Somewhere along the way, I realized that life is a lot like that river.
As mothers, we often want certainty.
We want to know if we're making the right decisions, raising our children the right way, choosing the right path, or becoming the women we're meant to be.
When we don't have all the answers, fear quietly takes over.
We begin forcing outcomes.
We overthink every decision.
We carry the weight of trying to control everything.
But what if we were never meant to control every step?
What if we were simply meant to trust the journey?
There was a time when I believed that if I worked harder, worried more, or planned every detail, life would finally feel peaceful.
Instead, I became exhausted.
The more I tried to control everything, the less peace I felt.
Everything began to change when I learned to surrender.
Not surrender because I had given up.
Surrender because I chose to trust.
To trust that every challenge was shaping me.
To trust that every delay had a purpose.
To trust that even when I couldn't see the destination, I could still take the next step with faith.
Like a river, we don't need to know every bend ahead.
We only need the courage to keep flowing.
Some days the current will be gentle.
Some days it will carry us through storms.
Both are part of the journey.
The river doesn't become weaker because it meets obstacles.
It simply finds another way forward.
So can you.
Today, release the pressure to have your whole life mapped out.
Stop forcing what isn't meant for this season.
Stop resisting every unexpected turn.
Instead, breathe.
Trust.
Flow.
Your journey is unfolding exactly one step at a time.
Just as the river eventually reaches the sea, your path will lead you where you're meant to be.
Not through force.
Not through fear.
But through faith, patience, and surrender.
